Join us on an out-of-the-ordinary
mini expedition, travelling with a guide through roadless terrain.
The tracks of reindeer, elk and other wild animals are all that cross
the snowmobile tracks. The track follows the River Torne downstream
and then turns off towards the small village of Svappavaara, before
continuing to Kiviniemi wilderness village via the River Kalix towards
Nunasjärvi. Nunasjärvi offers ample opportunities for anyone
wanting to try their hand at jig-fishing or, if you wish, set out
pike traps overnight!
The destination of the safari
is a real wilderness gem - Lappeasuando Wilderness Park, offering
accommodation in warm and cosy Sami wooden tents, a sauna and the
opportunity to roll in the snow and, of course, food in the beautiful
wilderness restaurant.
After breakfast on the second day the adventure continues with the
return journey to Jukkasjärvi.
