Guided 4 hour hike to Lapland’s hidden gem
Tankavaara Gold Village
Pyhä-Nattanen is the hidden gem in Urho Kekkonen national park in Finnish Lapland with easy hiking distance for a day trip and magnificent views to all directions. Great for photographing!
Pyhä-Nattanen hill was considered sacred by the Sámi people due to the unusual hard granite rock tor-formations on top of the hill. On our guided hiking tour you have plenty of time for short breaks to rest and marvel at sights and take photos.
Walking distance is about 4km in forest and rocky terrain on top. The hill is 500 meters high with a small cottage on top for fireside snacks and drinks as well as eco-toilet.
Our guide will greet you in Tankavaara Gold Village restaurant, from where the guide will drive you to the start of the trail. You can also use your own car, but be mindful that the forest road can be in poor condition. On the trail our guide will tell all about the surrounding national park and its nature.
This hike is great for beginner hikers and requires outdoor clothing, hiking boots and overall good health for half-day hike. Sandwiches, water and hot drinks are included.
